It is a great day today as we celebrate the return of Neil Young’s music to the Spotify streaming platform. The eccentric songwriter had previously made his music unavailable, apparently, because he didn’t want it to be housed on the same platform as aired the podcast by one Joe Rogan. It is now back, though, in full force, and as such, spearheads a proud bulwark in North American songwriting and guitar sound. I decided to pit him against the venerable Bob Dylan, here, in a battle of the titans not completely unlike the one seen in that Old Trapper commercial where the guys keep having more and more coonskins on. Ya know: pantheon stuff.
